If you are growing your herbs in the same planter as your tomatoes or strawberries, it is fine to fertilize them with the amount recommended for either of the larger plants. Herbs adapt easily in many different environments. If they are growing in a separate Topsy Turvy®, you can fertilize them once or twice during the season with diluted fertilizer.
Make sure to keep your herbs watered completely all season long. If they are sharing a Topsy Turvy®, with another plant this is all the more reason to water frequently and in large amounts. If it is especially hot where you are, this could be up to 1 gallon a day.
Make sure your herbs are getting full sun every day at least 4-5 hours.
Pruning your herbs will result in a better harvest. Pinch off any wild growth or dying sprigs.
